The topping-off ceremony of The Clement Canopy was held on 10 July 2018. The project is a joint venture between UOL and United Industrial Corporation (UIC). Our client, project consultants, together with our project team members joined the celebration on site.

2018 is a milestone year for the two 40-storey towers at The Clement Canopy. In April, we completed the installation of all modules on site, representing installation of 1,866 modules within one year. Three months after, we topped off the development, which signified another major achievement of the project team.

Upon completion in 2019, The Clement Canopy will become the world’s TALLEST concrete Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) development. A number of innovative solutions were adopted in this project and we shared best practices with industry players by receiving both local and global practitioners on site.

Being a pioneer in innovative construction, Dragages Singapore first adopted PPVC in the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport hotel extension (CPEX) (2014 -2016) – a FIRST in Singapore’s private sector projects. This construction method is an exemplary of sustainable construction with significant improvement to productivity while keeping environmental impact to the minimum. Riding on the success of CPEX, PPVC was then applied to Woodlands Care Home (2016-2017), The Clement Canopy (2016), Woodleigh Lane (2017), Serangoon North Avenue 1 (2018), and Perumal Road Project (2018).
