The Venue Residences and Shoppes

2014 – 2017

With a modern architectural design conceptualised by the team that designed the Sentosa Board Walk and Marina Bay Station, The Venue Residences and Shoppes features a mix of high-rise towers and a low-rise block. As a high-rise residential and retail hub, The Venue is equipped with the latest urban living elements. The development is located within an established residential estate, adjacent to major transport facilities including the Potong Pasir MRT station, major arterial roads and expressway.

The construction of a 3-level basement car park under very unfavourable ground conditions which consist of a thick layer of soft marine clay and waterlogged sandy materials, presented great challenges. Dragages’ innovative peanut-shaped diaphragm wall basement has proven to be successful to overcome these difficult conditions, while enhancing both productivity and safe operations.

The project was awarded the Building Construction Authority (BCA) Universal Design Award ‘Gold’, a testament of its exemplary design features with regard to a mixed residential and retail project.
