The Ritz-Carlton

1993 – 1995

The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, is a 612-room five-star hotel with 33 storeys and a surface area of 110,000 sqm. This iconic building is a testament to the successful partnership between Dragages Singapore and developer Pontiac Marina. Upon entering the hotel lobby, an awe-inspiring honeycomb-like structure held by a clear glass-panelled roof greets visitors, a stunning prelude to the outstanding architecture that envelopes the hotel. In this world-class establishment, thoughtful construction and design details take centre stage, a representation of the level of excellence upheld by Dragages Singapore.   Dragages Singapore combined steel structures, reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete for the construction of the hotel. A total of 12 mega beams in reinforced concrete with a span of 20 m to 25 m support this 33-storey building.   The Ritz-Carlton contributes to the majestic skyline of Singapore as an emblem of luxurious sophistication and exceptional architecture.
